Turning intelligence into business advantage.
We connect information into the grounds for a judgement, and carry it through to a competitive proposal and delivery in the field.

GSN is a business development partner on government ship programmes. We connect what the market, the customer, the technology and the makers are saying, and turn it into an opportunity a partner can act on.
We read information in the context of the programme and help decide what to propose and whom to work with. We take part in the technical review, the talks with makers and the preparation of the proposal, and we stay with the opportunity until it becomes a contract. We are tied to no maker.
Experience in defence, maritime and public-sector work stands behind this, on naval and coast guard programmes alike.
From information to business
- 01CollectRequirements, schedules, technology, makers and budgets, gathered from open sources and the customer.
- 02ReadThe information read in the context of the programme: what it means for this bid.
- 03JudgeWhich opportunity to pursue, what to propose, whom to work with, on evidence.
- 04DeliverThe package, the makers and the proposal, then supply, integration and support on board.
- 05KeepWhat each programme taught, recorded for the next judgement.
Where this comes from
- Supplier
- We began by supplying navigation and communication equipment to the Korean Navy and Coast Guard.
- Integrator
- We developed V-Pass for the Korea Coast Guard and electronic monitoring tags for the Ministry of Justice, and installed satellite and communication systems for the Navy, the Coast Guard and the Army.
- Today
- Shipboard electronics for the Coast Guard and, in partnership with Korean shipyards, the picture and the package behind naval and coast guard bids at home and abroad.
Six principles
- Start from the purpose
- We first define which business question and which decision the work has to answer.
- Connect information in context
- Market, customer, technology and supply terms are read together, so that opportunities and constraints show.
- Judge on evidence
- We check where information comes from and when, and keep facts, assumptions and uncertainties apart.
- Carry analysis into action
- A judgement becomes a technical configuration, a partnership and a proposal.
- Keep experience as knowledge
- We record what each proposal led to and why we judged as we did, so the next judgement is better.
- Use information responsibly
- We protect our customers' and partners' information and use it only for the agreed purpose and scope. Beyond the customers named on this site, we publish no names.
What we build on
We record programme requirements, technical reviews, supply terms and delivery experience in an orderly way, and use them in the next judgement. That is how we are developing the way we work.
The network
The shape of who we work with, without the names.
